To th...I don't get the focus on compression. <br /><br />To the extent that property value reflects the ability to pay taxes, people who are benefiting from compression are paying much more in taxes than the people whose properties are assessed at much lower than equivalent market values. <br /><br />If it is a good idea to relieve compression, it seems like an even better idea to have assessed values match market values. <br /><br />All that being said, I'm not a big fan of property taxes.
