(not that i put their desires above our own)

in the last couple days even the Europeans are telling us that our approach is too socialist...i can find some links if you're wanting proof, or you can google... and repeating the same mistakes we made in the 30's.

FDR's treasury secretary, Henry Morgenthau, Jr himself stated, "We have tried spending money. We are spending more than we have ever spent before and it does not work ... After eight years of this Administration we have just as much unemployment as when we started ... And an enormous debt to boot!"

if we don't learn from the past, we are bound to repeat it.

please show me where lowering taxes so people can spend/give/leave freely to those they CHOOSE has ever left us with a worse economic situation. ?.

side note, i think that we need a reminder of the JOB that the American Government is supposed to do...i was amazed at how straightforward and easy to understand this video was...
YOUTUBE, "the American form of government". very educational 10 min video.dw3https://www.blogger.com/profile/10094347905266540286noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3471471289744825428.post-36524806252316691772009-03-19T11:25:00.000-07:002009-03-19T11:25:00.000-07:00"where has it ever worked for a government to spen..."where has it ever worked for a government to spend $ they don't have?"

It works. It's called borrowing from the future to help you through today. Perhaps you think that no one - no where - should ever take a loan. That is, never borrow from the future?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3471471289744825428.post-22163155871665909092009-03-19T11:24:00.000-07:002009-03-19T11:24:00.000-07:00This comment has been removed by the author.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3471471289744825428.post-18651500075445410932009-03-16T14:42:00.000-07:002009-03-16T14:42:00.000-07:00where has it ever worked for a government to spend...where has it ever worked for a government to spend $ they don't have? and to tax the people that want to grow wealth and leave it to their families?

america was based on "life, liberty, and the persuit of happiness." there is nothing in there about the "right to own a home, the right to goverment health care, the right take from those that work to give to those that don't."

we should be lowering taxes. look at the countries, and states, that do....they prosper. sadly, with a president implementing socialist policies, unemployment will go well beyond 12% in oregon.

if we wanted socialism, we'd move to europe.dw3https://www.blogger.com/profile/10094347905266540286noreply@blogger.com
