So
says the Oregon Employment Department:
On a seasonally adjusted basis, preliminary
estimates from the federal Bureau of Labor
Statistics (BLS) indicate nonfarm payroll
employment in Oregon rose by 1,900 jobs in
March. The private sector added 2,700 jobs
over the month, while the public sector cut
800.
Another month another confirmation of a tepid recovery. But it is a recovery and given the severe headwind of 800 public sector jobs lost, it is nothing to sniff at. Okay maybe you can sniff a little.
