Oregon's February unemployment
dropped below 7% for the first time since August 2008 on the addition of 2,900 jobs. The February unemployment rate was 6.9%. The drop in the unemployment rate occurred despite healthy growth in the labor force (which is what would would expect and like to see in a recovery). Big gainers were in construction and manufacturing. All of this bodes well for a healthy Spring and Summer.
