I Feel Your Pain

The Oregonian reported on the very loud horn on the new WES train causing people fits in Wilsonville.  I know how they feel.  When I lived in Corvallis, I lived close to the Willamette and Pacific line that runs through the OSU campus (current and former undergrads at OSU will remember, fondly no doubt, the dulcet tones of the horn of that train as it crossed campus at 6am).  Near our house was a small driveway to a single house that crossed the tracks.  Though this was a private drive used once or twice a day the train apparently was obliged to sound its horn multiple times.   Oh how I loved that sound!  So melodious and joyful...
