I don't begrudge OPB its need for a fund drive, but could it come at a worse time? There is so much important news right now that is being preempted by the endless blather that is the hallmark of public radio fund drives across the nation (do they all read from the same script?). I guess the answer is to get them to their goal as soon as possible, I renewed my membership quickly in hopes it would get the news back on.
Anyway, to fill in the gap, here are a few important stories that I have found on the NPR website that I have not heard on OPB:
